Schuyler yogis get virtual guidance

Little girl tilts her head back in a yoga stretch

It’s all about the breathing.

Fourth- and fifth-graders in Erin Andrews’ class at Philip Schuyler Achievement Academy took note of their breath while they bent and stretched Tuesday afternoon during a virtual yoga session with Nikki Rogers of Lifted Vision Ƶ Yoga Services.

Rogers has taught yoga to Schuyler students for the last several years, part of the school’s enrichment offerings. She’ll provide five to 10 sessions a month to students in kindergarten through fifth grade – all virtual for now -- through the end of the school year.

Namaste, indeed!
